This piece was inspired by an Acanthus plant that was in the deep shadows of a Pine tree, yet the white blooms shone out like candles in the darkness, the shape of them with their long spike made me think of a menorah candlestick. Nature is such an inspiration of how God can speak through a simple plant. A light that shines in the darkness."The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness, a light has dawned." Isaiah 9:2
