Second Day (G1).

And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so.God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

Then God said, “Let there be a space between the waters... God called the space “sky.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the second day.--Genesis 1:6-8

The study of creation is of great interest to me personally. I have dissected, studied, and taught on the topic. Many artists did a great job depicting this topic. My version combines digital and brushwork. I began each of the days with images of things created on that day according to Genesis chapter one. I then manipulated and distorted until just the essence of the colors remained. Layers of scanned brush strokes were then added. Finally, I printed the completed pieces on canvas and added texture and glass beads to complete the work.
