A large-scale drawing that employs liquid media. This piece explores the accidental, brutal, and graceful geometry of American industrial architecture. Within a love for rigorous processes, extremes of materials are explored. What is not apparent in the photograph are the shiny, light-eating blacks produced by layers upon layers of India ink and the burnished effect of 12B graphite treated with surgical-grade isopropyl alcohol.
